Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed on TV and in films is best known for films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole children of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra, she entered showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she was just 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film for television that she made Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra is involved in numerous notable projects at both a national and international level. These projects include The British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic Miniseries Napoleon. She was also on the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
